It's finally here! We have the full details on registration for the National Homebrew Conference, including the application window which will be February 19th to 26th. Check out all the details.
We want to thank everyone that came out for Monday's meeting at Boatyard. We were impressed with the turnout and that makes us feel better about opting for a venue with a bit more space and privacy. If you have just a minute, please take our anonymous survey and give us your feedback on both the presentation and the location:
This is a friendly reminder that we have our normal meeting this coming Monday, January 20th. As previously announced, this meeting will be at Boatyard Brewing Company.
Thanks to the efforts of club member benefits liaison Andrew VanderKlok, we have a special treat for Kalamazoo Beer Week. On Thursday, January 16th all KLOB members will receive a $1 discount on pints from 5-9pm. You MUST present either your 2013 or 2014 membership card to receive the discount.
NHC Update
The AHA recently updated their conference website to start showcasing this year's event:
We have two major announcements from our good friends at Paw Paw Brewing Company. First, we are pleased to announce that PPBC will begin offering a 15% discount on homebrew supplies at their general store to all KLOB members. Please make sure to have your 2014 membership card available to prove you are a member in good standing.
We would like to thank everyone that came out last night to celebrate another successful year of KLOB. With 170 paid members, this has been our biggest year in our 20 year history. We're very excited what the future holds and hope you will continue to make the club strong and exciting.
This is one last reminder that we are having our holiday meeting featuring Christmas ales and winter warmers tomorrow, Monday December 16th, at 7pm. We have a change in location over to Boatyard Brewing Company.
This year's holiday meeting will feature numerous hand-selected Christmas ales and winter warmers from around the country and around the world. As we encourage at all of our previous holiday meetings, all guests can bring in a dish or snack to share with the group. The club will be proving only limited foods so we ask for help out to keep something in everyone's bellies as they sample all these fantastic beers.
