This is a friendly reminder that we will be having our normal monthly meeting this coming Monday, May 19th. The month's topic will be fruit beers complete with club provided samples. If you have any fruit beers of your own you would like to share, this meeting would be a perfect time to bring them.
Once again we are happy to announce our partnership with Bell's General Store in order to host another AHA Big Brew event this Saturday, May 3rd! For those not already familiar, Big Brew coresponds with National Homebrew Day and is sponsored by the American Homebrewers Association. The idea is to celebrate all things homebrew by trying to gather as many brewers together to simultaneously brew as many gallons of beer as possible. We hope to have all-grain, extract and everything in between going that day.
We want to give a big thanks to Bryan Simpson for his excellent presentation on malt varieties. We have posted his hand-out on our website so you can review it later and employ all it's useful information the next time you are putting together a recipe.

Many of your are already aware that this Saturday, March 29th, we are hosting a bus trip that will journey from Kalamazoo to Ann Arbor and back, stopping at numerous breweries and beer bars along the way. There will also be plenty of games throughout the day with great prizes from local breweries.
