Greetings Klobbers, We have our monthly meeting coming up on Feb. 18th, 7pm at Boatyard Brewery. This meeting we will be talking about Michigan beer ingredients. KLOB welcomes Steve "Bert" Berthel, a champion for brewing with Michigan ingredients. He will be discussing brewing with Michigan Ingredients and how to obtain them. Steve represents Empire Malting Company, Craft Cultures Yeast Labs, LLC, and United Hops Brokerage.
Greeting Klobbers, Kalamazoo Beer Week is coming up! Hope you all get to participate in many events. We've got our own KLOB beer for Beer Week too! Becasue of this, our January Meeting will have a venue and date change! We will be meeting at Brite Eyes Brewery on Monday Jan. 14th, 7pm, for the release of the KLOB beer, Stouty McStoutface. We will be discussing electric brewing and also the results of the KLOB Kup.
Just a reminder that our December Meeting/Holiday Potluck is coming up soon! Join the fun on Monday, Dec. 17th 79pm at Boatyard Brewery. Featured beer style is stouts, so we will have a bunch of different stouts to enjoy at the meeting. Also, please bring a dish or something delicious to share!

Submit your recipe in either a 5 gallon or 1 barrel volume.
Recipe should use common easily obtainable brewing ingredients, nothing too off the wall, (i.e. 10lbs ground up squirrels) or anything super expensive or rare (i.e. 60oz. saffron)
Just a reminder we have our monthly meeting coming up on Monday, October 15th, 7pm at Boatyard Brewery. Our October Meeting will be on brewing Sahti beer, the ancient Finnish beer made with juniper. Geoff Groff has brewed a traditional Sahti for us to taste at the meeting. Come join us for the presentation and help us Finnish off this brew :)
