Our September meeting is approaching fast! This month's meeting will take place at Wax Wings Brewing Co. on Sept. 16th, 7pm. Location is 3480 Gull Rd. Normally closed on Monday, they will be open that night just for our group. They will also have their grill fired up for anyone that's hungry at the meeting.

If you brewed a batch of the Belgian Dark Strong for the barrel project, please bring your finished beer to Alex at Tempo Vino, 260 E. Michigan ave, downtown, by Aug. 31st. We will be doing the filling and aging there.

So bring in bottles of your favorite crushable session beer you make. Beer must be under 5% abv. We'll taste them as a group and vote for a winner. Prizes for the top beers. Just remember to bring enough samples for the group.

In 1988, May 7 was announced before Congress as National Homebrew Day. The American Homebrewers Association (AHA) created AHA Big Brew as an annual event to celebrate National Homebrew Day around the world. AHA Big Brew is held each year on the first Saturday in May. Just a fun reason to get a bunch of homebrewers together and brew a ton of beer!
