Hey KLOBBERS,
We have a great upcoming meeting ,.
From Grape to Glass
Monday, November 17 from 7–9 PM at Brewery Outré 567 E Ransom St, Kalamazoo, MI 49007
This month, we’re popping corks instead of bottle caps.
Join us for an evening with Steve Vroegop, a seasoned winemaker who’s been quietly crushing grapes while the rest of us were stuck on hops. He’ll walk us through the ins and outs of winemaking at home, covering:
- Wine styles.
- Where to source grapes, juice, kits, and gear, whether you’re shopping local or going full DIY.
- Yeast strains, fermentation tips, and common pitfalls to avoid.
- And yes, you’ll get to taste several of Steve’s own handcrafted wines.
- You will learn how brewing and winemaking overlap, and how they don’t.
Whether you're a curious beer-first fermenter or a wine lover with an itch to start a batch, this is the kind of hands-on, glass-in-hand education you won’t get from YouTube.
All are welcome. You don’t need to be a member to attend — just show up and bring a friend.
Thinking About Joining KLOB?
Now’s a great time to jump in. Membership is just $15 a year and comes with some tasty perks. It’s easily one of the best returns on investment in your fermentation journey.
Bring your homebrew. Bring a friend. And come ready to talk tannins, taste a few wines, and maybe leave inspired to crush a few grapes of your own.
KLOB Kup Is Coming!
The annual KLOB Kup Homebrew Competition is just around the corner. Each member may enter one beer, any style you love. Entries (2 bottles) are due at the January meeting.
It’s your chance to throw down and earn bragging rights for 2026.
