April Meeting and Events Announcements

Hey KLOBBERS,

  • Our next meeting will be held at Presidential Brewing (8302 Portage Rd, Portage, MI 49002) on April 15th at 7:00pm.
  • Handmap's Brewcomp Year 2. Details coming soon. Entries due June 1st, winner announcements at anniversary party on July 13th.
  • Big Brew Day is on May 4th and as many of us are also with Keepers of the Craft, we will be meeting with them at MacQuillan's Lab. Contact us for the address. Bring your brew gear, beers, and a dish to pass.
  • Summer Session Beer KLOB competition for May 20th meeting. One (1) entry per member (must be in good standing). Styles accepted are summer sessions AKA lawnmower beers and summer sippers. Entries must be ≤ 5% and packaged in unmarked bottles or growlers.
  • Club Night at Murray Street Brewing Company (57620 Murray St, Mattawan, MI 49071) on Wednesday April 3rd. There will be beer available and they will give us a tour of the brewery.
  • Club Night at Longship Brewing Company (114 N Main St, Lawton, MI 49065) on Tuesday May 14th. There will be food and beer available and they will give us a tour of the brewery,

Bus Trip to Southwest Michigan Breweries, Saturday June 8th.
Max attendees is 45 people.
Departure from Portage Harding's (6330 S Westnedge Ave, Portage, MI 49002) at 10:45 AM and returning at approximately 8:30 to 9:00 PM.

The buses population and the ability to accommodate with location size and staffing are factors on who we are choosing, but most are glad to have us.
We are also trying to diversify drink offerings at different locations to help appease more traveler’s specific tastes.
We wanted to give ample notice to check your availability for this fun trip.
Cost is $45 which includes first drink tickets at Watermark and Transient.
