Greetings Klobbers,
We have some fun events coming up this month! Bring your Michigan ingredient beer for our July Beer Competition, then join us for an exciting day on the water for our Sunday Fun-Day on the Lake! Plus, we have some FREE gear to give away. Read on below for more details...
JULY MEETING:
It's our July Beer Competition!
It's time for a little Summer Brewing Competition! In this competition, you can brew ANY kind of beer you like, but with the one rule: you must use at least one ingredient in your beer that is Michigan grown/produced/foraged. Examples, Michigan grown blueberries, dandelions, hops, cider... Bring a few bottles of your finished brew to the July meeting and we will all judge them as a group! Prizes for the winners!

SUNDAY FUN-DAY on the Lake:
We've got a fun Summer event planned for all Klobbers on Long Lake!
Beth & Andrew are graciously hosting a Sunday get-together at their house on Long Lake in Portage on Sunday, July 24th, 2-7pm. If you like water activities, they have a speed boat for tubing & skiing, a pontoon boat, pedalboat, paddleboard, sailboat, and a couple of kayaks! If you have your own kayak or other fun water toys, feel free to bring them too. Don't forget the beer! Bring some homebrew and a dish or snacks to share. We'll be providing some brats for the grill as well.
Don't forget your sunblock! Please, no speedos.
Address: Beth & Andrew's - 4805 S. Long Lake Dr. Portage, MI 49002

FREE STUFF!
As Bell's General Store is in the process of their move to a new building, they have donated a bunch of brewing equipment and items to KLOB in hopes they would find a good home. At the July meeting we will have several boxes of stuff to give away for free. Items include: stainless brewing kettles, carboys, grain paddles, stir plates(lots), funnels, brushes, Grolsch bottles, Blichman burner legs, stainless false bottoms, and some other odds n' ends. All free to a good home, first come, first served. Thanks to Boyd for getting the hook up on all these free stuff!
