Greetings Klobbers, Our first meeting of 2022 is this week!
Join us on Wednesday, January 19th, 7pm at Final Gravity downtown, for a Sensory Training/Off Flavors event. We'll have a sensory kit featuring 6 different off-notes commonly found in beer. Sample Diacetyl, DMS, Acetic Acid, Skunk, Oxidized, & Acetaldehyde, and hone your tasting and evaluating ability. Hope to see you there!
2022 Membership- We'll be taking membership renewals for the 2022 calendar year at the January Meeting. You can also renew your membership online at: 2022 Membership.
Last Call for entries! Klob Kup- Our club beer competition, the KLOB KUP, will be held in January 2022. This beer competition is open any KLOB member. Each member is allowed up to three entries, and the beers can be any style in the 2015 BJCP Style Guidelines. You can drop them off to Tempo Vino Winery anytime, or you can bring them to the January meeting which will be the last day for entries. To enter, we’ll need two 12 oz bottles per entry with bottle ID tags attached with rubber bands, and you must also fill out an Entry/Recipe form per entry. Also, no other labels or identifying marks on the bottles, just plain crown cap and the bottle ID form. We do the judging blind, so we don’t know who’s beer is who’s.
