Greeting Klobbers,

As many of you have already heard, Boatyard Brewing Co. will be closing their doors for good on August 31st. Our final meeting at Boatyard Brewing will be this Monday, August. 19th, 7pm. Boatyard still has an inventory of brewing supplies, and have made items and ingredients available for sale to KLOB members at this meeting, such as malt, hops, etc... Also, if you have brewed a batch of the Belgian beer for the barrel project, please drop it off to Alex at Tempo Vino, 260 E. Michigan ave. downtown, by August 31st. We will be doing the barrel filling and aging there.

For future meeting locations...we have been in contact with a number of breweries that are eager to host our organization. Moving forward, we plan on rotating around the area to different breweries, so we can get a taste of what Kalamazoo area has to offer and a much wider selection of brews and styles. For the September Meeting, we will meet at Wax Wings Brewing, 3480 Gull Road. September 16th, 7pm.  Please read the emails you receive from KLOB, as we will have the future meeting locations included in the emails. 

We'd like to thank the owners and staff at Boatyard Brewery for being such generous hosts for our club over the last few years, and we wish them the best for what ever the future holds.  We also urge everyone to support your local businesses and breweries. Shop and drink local when you can, every little bit counts.  Hope to see everyone at our last meeting, let's give Boatyard a big send off!
