KLOB Kayak Trip! PLUS Grill out on the island! 7/8/18
For those of you with access to kayaks or canoes, we're going take a kayak trip down the Kalamazoo River from Merrill Park to Arcadia Brewery on Sunday July 8th. We will put in from Merrill Park on River Street. Map: Merrill Park. We will be departing at 12pm from Merrill Park, so please arrive around 11am to carpool and place cars at Arcadia.
Grill Out Island! We will stop at one of the islands in the Kalamazoo River to grill some food. We will have a couple small camping grills if anyone wants to cook out on the river. Bring your brats, dogs, condiments etc... Just don't forget to pick up after yourself!!!
It is about a 3.5 mile trip and we'll have beers at Arcadia after. This is a weather dependent event, so watch the forecast! KLOB Roast 8/18/18
Mark your calendars for Saturday August 18th! (11am-8pm) It's time for the 24th annual KLOB ROAST, our annual all-day cook-out & beerfest. KLOB supplies the food, you bring the beer and cheer! Cost is $20/person. This price covers entry fee to the park, a commemorative Roast pint glass, and all the food you can eat! Caterer this year is Shwarma King!
Tickets are available at our monthly meetings, at Tempo Vino Winery: 260 E. Michigan ave. downtown, or purchase online via the Paypal link on the Roast Webpage. No refunds on tickets, it's a rain or shine event so dress accordingly. KLOB Roast will be at Coldbrook Park in the picnic shelter. Address is 14467 E MN Ave, Climax, MI 49034. Also, please carpool & make sure to have a designated driver! This event is open to family and friends of members too! You can invite your wife, mistress, cousin, boyfriend, uncle, probation officer, car mechanic, etc... Just as long as they're cool and they like beer. Speaking of beer, this a good opportunity to show off your brew skills! Bring your "A" game to the Roast. We'll have the club tap trailer and jockey box set up, so you can hook up your corney kegs. You may bring bottles as well. Please bring any yard games you want to play. We've had volleyball, bocce, kube in the past. Disc golf and fishing are also available at Coldbrook Park.
