I received the following from David Curtis at Bell's General Store. Certainly worth taking advantage of if you were planning to enter any of your beers:
Chris, I just made an arrangement to get entries for the National Homebrew Competition driven down to Indianapolis to save on shipping costs. Could you please let the KLOB folks know that they can drop their entries off at the General Store if they are entering, but there are some details:
1. Register your entries online (http://www.homebrewersassociation.org) for the Indianapolis location (this year, entrants can choose where they enter their beers).
2. Pack your beers as if they were being shipped via UPS. This means bubble wrap each bottle, pack tightly, etc.
3. Write 'NHC 2011' large and clear on the outside of your box.
4. Drop off your entry at Bell's General Store, along with $3 in an envelope (per brewer, not per beer) to cover gas expenses.
5. I'm finalizing the drop-off deadline right now but the deadline will likely be Tuesday, March 22 by General Store close (9:00 pm). I'll confirm here shortly....
I'm going to run the beers up to grand rapids on Friday the 25th, so beers will be due in by closing on Thursday. Take care.
