Celebrate National Homebrew Day & come brew beer with KLOB at Big Brew 2017!
KLOB is celebrating our own Big Brew event on Saturday, May 6th, 11am-5pm at Boatyard Brewery. We're looking for 6-8 groups to be brewing that day. Every skill level is accepted, come brew with us whether you do all-grain or extract. Bring all your own brewing equipment & ingredients you need to brew. Water and electric are provided, but bring hoses, cords, etc... If you're doing all-grain, please be ready to go right at 11am, so we can get out of Boatyard's hair at a reasonable hour. You can brew what ever you like, or use the official Big Brew recipes. The 2017 Big Brew beer recipes can be found here: https://www.homebrewersassociation.org/aha-events/national-homebrew-day/#recipe
Big Brew is an annual event that gets home brewers together the first Saturday in May to brew up a ton of beer! In 1988, May 7 was announced before Congress as National Homebrew Day. The American Homebrewers Association created Big Brew as an annual event to celebrate National Homebrew Day.
Even if you are not brewing, you can still stop by and have a pint or four and say hi!
