Hoppy New Year! I hope you all made New Years resolutions to drink more beer, right??? 

Speaking of drinking beer, our monthly meeting is coming up on Monday, Jan. 16th, 7pm at Boatyard Brewery. The topic this month will be Yeast Starters, presented by Geoff Groff.  We will also be annoucing the winner of the KLOB Kup at this meeting! 

Boatyard Brewery has a special release this night as well. They will be releasing two Eisbiers (Ice beer), Scottish Ice (17.8% abv) & Harvest Ice (16.4% abv) For those unfamiliar with this style, the beer goes through a degree of fractional freezing, thus removing water from the beer and concentrating the flavors and alcohol. Grab a taste of them while you're there. 

We are also taking membership renewals for 2017 at the meeting, and will have member cards ready for those who joined in December.
