Greetings Klobbers, our November meeting is coming up Monday Nov. 16th, 7pm at Boatyard Brewery. The topic will be "Making and Using Candi Sugar" by Geoff Groff. Also, we are having a little informal harvest beer competition. So if you grow your own hops and have made a beer with them, bring it in for the Nov. meeting. Rules: Beer can be any style you choose, but some of the hops have to be homegrown, and not commercially bought hops. Winner gets a prize, probably hops :)

KLOB KUP
KLOB KUP: Our annual club beer competion, The KLOB KUP, is a few months away, but it's never to early to start planning! We will start taking entries at the November meeting. Judging will be held beginning of December and the winner will be announced at the December meeting. This beer competition is open to members in good standing only. It is a BJCP sanctioned event, and is judged by a panel of BJCP beer judges. Brew your best stuff for this event, the competion is tough!
For entering, you must fill out an Entry/Recipe form and using a rubber band attach the bottle ID forms to two 12oz bottles. Do not tape or glue the labels to your bottles, you will be disqualified. Also, no other labels or identifying marks on the bottles, just plain crown cap and the bottle ID form. We do the judging blind, so we don’t know who’s beer is who’s. You can find the forms here: http://bjcp.org/docs/SCP_EntryRecipe.pdf, http://bjcp.org/docs/SCP_BottleID.pdf
Winner get bragging rights for the year and their name on the KLOB KUP trophy.
