We are just a few short days away this year's celebration of all things beer and barbecue: The 2014 KLOB Roast!  For those who have never attended, the Roast replaces our September meeting but is a chance to invite friends, family and co-workers to share in a day of good times, good food and, of course, fantastic libations.

Time and Place

The event will take place this Saturday, September 20th, 2014 from noon until 8pm.  We will be returning to Coldbrook County Park in Climax which is just 20 minutes from downtown Kalamazoo.  We will have a picnic shelter reserved for our group but you are free to take advantage of all that the park has to offer, including disc golf, fishing and more. 

Tickets

If you haven't already purchased your tickets or need a few extra for additional guests, you can still stop down at Tempo Vino Winery in downtown Kalamazoo before Saturday.  Prices are $15 for members and $20 for non-members.  This covers entrance into the park, your meal and a special commemorative pint glass.

Food

We are once again welcoming Sean Anderson Catering to provide the whole hog roast this year.  Additionally, Sean loves to bring a full array of snacks and side dishes to accompany the meal.  We are targeting to have dinner served at 4pm so everyone doesn't have to sample all these fine beers on an empty stomach.  If you have any special dietary requirements, let us know and we will attempt to accommodate.

Beer

This is the main attraction of the Roast and we hope that everyone has set aside some of their finest work to showcase.  We will have the club jockey box available if you want to bring any corny kegs.  Otherwise, if you are bringing bottles or growlers, we suggest adding some easy to read labels so it's easy to find your own beers and share them with your fellow members.

Parking

Your ticket covers entrance into Cold Brook Park.  We neglected to give several of you parking passes when you purchased your ticket.  We recommend print the following document, bringing it to the event and giving it to the staff at the park entrance.

We also strongly suggest carpooling and using designated drivers and taxis.  Please do not drink and drive.
