KLOB NHC 2014 Attendees,
At the end of this email is a list of beers to be taken to this year’s NHC. We want to thank everyone who volunteered their hardwork. We had 30 different beers offered while the target number was 24. We attempted pair down those beers with a goal that all should have an opportunity to participate as well as wanting to have a variety of beers represented. Please take a look at this list and if you have comments or need to make adjustments let’s look at that now.
The list is divided into the two events we will be covering: The Social Well and Club Night. Again, we are attempting to get some variety in the selections. Our tentative time slot for the Social Well selected by the organizers is the very first slot: 11am – 1pm on Thursday. This means we get to kick the event off in style!
During the Social Well, we are provided all the hardware we need (CO2, taps, ice). For the Club Night, we are on our own. In either case, we need to know what type of connections are needed for the kegs you are providing, ball or pin lock. The club has our own four-tap jockey box but we'll likely want to have more than four choices at our booth during Club Night. If you have a jockey box and are willing to lend it for the evening, let us know. The same goes for other hardware: C02 tanks, buckets for chilling kegs, etc.
We are also going to need manpower for our two serving sessions. If you have a particular beer that you are excited to serve, we can try to give you that opportunity and have you work the session in which that beer is offered. If you don't have beers being served but still want to be involved in either session, we would love to include you as well. We want to be as fair as possible and also give everyone plenty of time to enjoy themselves during those times so we'll try to divvy up those shifts equally.
We have mentioned in the past about having a theme for our Club Night booth. This isn't necessary but definitely helps set our club apart and catches people's attention. If you any ideas, please let us know. If you've never been to an NHC, you can check out some photos posted by the AHA from previous events for some inspiration:
Please send us all your info regarding the keg hardware you are donating and preference on shifts to help volunteer. If you know someone attending the NHC who may not be on this list, please forward it to them. We are only about a month from this event. We are looking forward to it and hope you are as well!
