June Meeting
This is a friendly reminder that we will having our monthly meeting Monday, June 20th at 7:00pm. Geoff Groff will be giving a brief overview on all-grain brewing while also walking everyone through the club's brewstand. If you've been interested in getting into all-grain brewing, this will be one of your best opportunities to learn. Plus, after the meeting is over, all members in good standing can lend out the brewstand so you can try all-grain brewing on your own without having to shell out hundreds of dollars on equipment!
We will once again be meeting at Old Dog's Pub in downtown Kalamazoo, across from Bell's General Store. Please, no outside beverages.
House Bill 4061
As of yesterday, the bill to legalize sharing at homebrew at local breweries and brewpubs came one step closer to reality by passing committee with a unanimous vote. We still have a long way to go but we are making very good progress. We will be keeping you up-to-date on any developments as they happen.
Items for Sale
I've had numerous people get in touch with me in just the past few weeks regarding a variety of homebrew supplies and products for sale. I try to post all that I can to the club online forums:
Tasting Glasses
Coasty's
Homebrew Ingredients from Kissel Brewing
Two days only, this Friday and Saturday (June 17-18)
Bootlegger Crates
June Picnic
Many thanks to everyone who attended the club picnic last Saturday at Markin Glen. Many fantastic beers were sampled, new lawn games were mastered and we even tested out the new prototype for the world's best portable cornie keg cooler! A big shout-out goes to Sue, Alex and Geoff for helping to organize the event. Be looking for more events just like it throughout the summer.
