You know what we love at WIDR? We love it when people who are passionate about something are really good at it and get to spend their lives doing it. We also love beer. What happens when you put those things together in Michigan? Some of the best damn craft beer the world has ever seen! And it’s coming to Kalamazoo.

WIDR is pleased to announce that eight of Michigan’s finest brewers will be on-hand for (what we hope will be) the first annual WIDR Sliders & Brew craft beer tasting event at the Kalamazoo Beer Exchange. Details, you say? Read on.

If you’re a craft beer fan or you just like Michigan products, April 13th is not a night to stay home. Brewers/staff from Arcadia, Arbor Brewing Company, Dark Horse, Founders, New Holland, Old Hat, Paw Paw Brewing Company, and Short’s are coming to town and bringing a river of their finest pilsners, ales, stouts, and porters, plus whatever other surprises they have up their sleeves. From 6-9pm, anyone 21 and up will be able to explore a world of beer they may not have even realized existed.

In fact, we’ve been informed that some of the beers being brought for WIDR have never even been made available outside of Winter Beer Fest and out of state tasting events, so there will be serious potential for bragging to your beer loving buddies if they miss this. We’ll make announcements about who’s bringing what here and on our Twitter feed as the 13th gets closer.

For a mere $10 at the door, you’ll get eight samples, a plate of sliders (vegetarian sliders are available), and the chance to talk beer with your friends and some of the best brewers in the business. When you want to try more, additional five-sample tickets are only $5. Not only are you getting killer beer and burgers, you’re also supporting WIDR and independent thinking Michigan.

If you find a new favorite, beers from all the event’s brewers are available at the Kalamazoo Beer Exchange, so you won’t have to call it an early evening.
