Hop Varieties

This is a friendly reminder that we will be holding our monthly meeting this coming Monday, April 18th. The presentation will be on hop varieties and will be given by David Curtis from Bell's General Store.

We'll once again be meeting at Old Dog's Pub in downtown Kalamazoo at 7pm. Please, no outside beverages.

Big Brew 2011

Things are all coming together for this year's Big Brew event on Saturday, May 7th. We will be meeting outside of Bell's General Store starting at 10am and wrapping up around 6pm. If you would like to participate by brewing that day, please let us know so we can estimate how many rigs we'll have that day. Bell's is actually putting together several pre-packaged kits for both extract and all-grain versions of this year's AHA official recipes with a small discount. Don't want to brew? That's fine, just come by and share the day with us. Keep checking the website for more information and updates.

Great Taste of the Midwest

We are once again lucky enough to secure access to collection of tickets to this amazing but exclusive event, up from 22 to 25 this year. As we've done in year's past, there will be a lottery so that everyone who is interested in going can have a fair chance. If fewer than 25 people want tickets, we'll have a second lottery for any extras. To be eligible, you must be a member in good standing. That means having your dues for 2011 paid in full. If you have yet to renew this year, we'll take care of all registrations prior to the lottery.
