We are excited to announce the details of this year's Roast event. For those who have never attended, the Roast is an opportunity for all of our members and their friends and family to come together to share homebrew and enjoy high quality BBQ.
Date and Time:
The Roast takes the place of our normal monthly meeting in September. Sticking with tradition (and avoiding conflict with the Bell's Homebrew Expo) the event will be held on the third Saturday which falls on the 15th. We'll get things underway at noon and go until 8pm. There is an option to stay overnight (see below).
Location:
Last year's event was held at a Kalamazoo county park (Markin Glen) and we were very happy with the results. We will continue that approach and currently have the Woods Shelter at Coldbrook County Park in Climax, just 20 minutes from downtown Kalamazoo.

There are many great activities to do at Coldbrook including disc golf, fishing, volleyball and softball. For those of you who want to camp-out that evening, you need to make reservations with county parks department in advance. Rustic sites are $15 and improved sites are $20. You may be required to reserve for two nights.
Cost and Tickets:
The officers and Roast planning committee has done everything possible to keep the ticket price as low as possible. The cost is $10 for members and $15 for non-members. Members must have their 2012 dues paid in full to receive their discount so if you have yet to renew, now is a great time to do so. The ticket covers the cost of your entrance into the park, dinner and a collectible pint glass.

Beer and Food:
Dinner will be served by Sean Anderson Catering:
Sean will be preparing a WHOLE HOG for our event which should mean there will be plenty of tasty barbecue for everyone. He'll also be providing several side dishes and pre-dinner munchies. If you have any special dietary requirements, let us know and we'll attempt to accommodate.
As for beer, that's where you come in! This is a BYOB event but, more importantly, this is a chance for you to bring you biggest and brew homebrews to share with your fellow members. So start brewing today or set aside your favorite libations to bring to the Roast!
T-Shirts
T-shirts are done on a pre-order basis. The price this year will be $13 per shirt, regardless of size. Order forms will be available at the July and August meetings and at Tempo Vino winery.
